Some of the REMIX fellows attended the “Molecular mechanisms of mitochondrial gene expression” EMBO Workshop taking place in the amazing venue of Sänga Såby, close to Stockholm. Fellows Vanessa Xavier, Petra Palenikova, Magdalena Rzcepka and Direnis Erdinc presented a poster showing their last results. During the workshop, we attended many talks given by some of our PIs and other relevant researchers concerning the fields of: Replication and mtDNA maintenance, transcription and RNA maturation, mitochondrial translation and regulation of OXPHOS. After talks, panel discussions were made, in addition to other networking activities that helped us to learn more about the most recent advances in the field.
